Nanoengineers at the University of California, San Diego developed a gel filled with toxin-absorbing nanosponges that could lead to an effective treatment for skin and wound infections caused by MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), an antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

Congratulations goes out to Prof. Tao for her achievement of the 2014 Young Faculty Award from Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for her research in "Plasmonic Nanoprobes for Neuronal Monitoring".

Congratulations to NanoEngineering Ph.D. graduates, Dr. Pavimol Angsantikul and Dr. Jinxing Li, who have been named the winners of the Eudragit (R) Award - North America for 2017.  This award is given to researchers worldwide for their scientific work involving Eudragit (R) polymers.
