Materials Science and Engineering:A  has announced Professor Marc Meyers as the recipient of the 2014 MSEA Journal Prize.

UCSD NanoEngineering Professors Shaochen Chen and Liangfang Zhang were elected to the College of Fellows of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE).

Joseph Wang has been named to the Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) Endowed Chair in Engineering at the University of California, San Diego’s Jacobs School of Engineering.

Congratulations goes out to Prof. Tao for her achievement of the 2014 Young Faculty Award from Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for her research in "Plasmonic Nanoprobes for Neuronal Monitoring".

Congratulations to Zachary Dorfman (Fenning Research Group), who recently received his M.S. in Chemical Engineering. His thesis defense on "Toward Commercial Perovskite Solar Manufacturing" was presented on May 15, 2019.

NanoEngineering, Ph.D. student, Fernando Soto (Laboratory for Nanobioelectronics), has been selected to receive the Gordon Fellow for the Jacobs School of Engineering - the Bernard and Sophia Gordon Engineering Leadership Center, UC San Diego.

Congratulations to Dr. Diana Dehaini (Zhang Nanomedicine Lab), who recently received her Ph.D in NanoEngineering. Her defense on "Biomimetic Nanoparticles for Targeted Delivery and Removal" was presented on February 28, 2019. Dr.

NanoEngineering professor, Nisarg Shah is lead author in a newly published paper on improving T-cells. The research team has developed a sponge-like gel that can be injected under the skin at the time of a bone marrow transplant that enhances the production and quality of T-cells.
