Nanoengineering Ph.D. Student Wins Jacobs School Of Engineering Art Contest

The award for the first annual Jacobs School of Engineering Art Contest has been awarded to Kevin Kaufmann, a Ph.D. student in the NanoEngineering Department.  Kaufmann's winning entry is an image of a crystalline dendrite, resembling picturesque snowflakes.  These crystalline dendrites are a part of Kaufmann's work in the lab of NanoEngineering professor, Dr. Kenneth Vecchio.  The contest provided UC San Diego engineers a platform to showcase their research through original artwork.  To read the full story and view the winning entry, please click here.
