Congratulations to NanoEngineering Undergraduate, Joseph Wong!

Joseph Wong, an undergraduate in NanoEngineering, received first place for his research, “The Role of Defects and Grain Boundaries in the Electronic Structures of Hybrid and Inorganic Tin Iodide Perovskites: a DFT Study,” at the Broadening Participation in Materials Undergraduate Student Program. Mr. Wong participated in the 2017 Materials Research Society Spring Meeting, the world’s largest gathering of material scientists and engineers in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Wong currently works in Professor Kesong Yang’s Research Group at UC San Diego.
